RYAN BECK & CO. OPENS YORK, PA OFFICE

New location joins growing branch line up in Central Pennsylvania

FLORHAM PARK, NJ – September 11, 2006 – Ryan Beck & Co. today announced that it is continuing to grow its presence in Pennsylvania by opening a new office in York, PA. The firm now has nine offices in Pennsylvania. The new office in York falls under the aegis of Michael O’Keefe, Eastern Pennsylvania District Director for Ryan Beck.

“We have been actively pursuing an expanded presence in Pennsylvania for several years” said Mr. O’Keefe. “We are seeking to best serve our clients in the region and to increasingly broaden our footprint. The York branch is the third office we have opened in the last year in Eastern Pennsylvania, and it geographically complements our other locations in Allentown, Bethlehem, Camp Hill, Lebanon and Yardley.’

The office is currently staffed by three experienced financial consultants (FCs), who account for more than $200-million in assets under management, and a sales associate. According to O’Keefe, plans are to build the office to include several more FCs.

Staffing the York office are FCs Mary Ellen Lynch and Christie Smith, who joined the firm from Smith Barney. Ms. Lynch is a First VP at Ryan Beck and Ms. Smith is a VP. Jennifer Ormond also joins as an FC and Associate Vice President. Assisting the FCs is Client Services Associate Suzanne Gingerich.
