FLORHAM PARK, NJ – March 13, 2007 – Ryan Beck & Co., a Stifel Financial company, today announced that it has opened a new office in Bel Air, Maryland, marking this unit’s second location in the state. The new office joins the firm’s long-standing Baltimore branch, which has been open since 1962, and continues the strategy of growing the retail business in key markets. Stifel Financial also maintains a significant capital markets presence in Baltimore as well.

“We are very pleased to establish this new location in Bel Air, which is located in one of the fastest-growing counties in the state,” said Rob Carpenter, Bel Air’s branch manager who reports to Mid-Atlantic District Director Paul MacCrory. “We are excited to expand our presence in Maryland and expect to grow this new branch to serve the needs of the local community.”

Staffing the Bel Air office are seven new hires from Smith Barney. John Lomax joins as Senior Vice President; Joseph Ries joins as First Vice President and Anthony Germano and Daniel Wright both join as Senior Financial Consultants. In addition, Mandy Bittner, Jennifer Snyder and Heather Dardamanis all have joined as Registered Client Service Associates.
