FLORHAM PARK, NJ – November 14, 2006 – Ryan Beck & Co. today announced that its will host its Annual Financial Institutions Investor Conference: “Strategy to Implementation,” Thursday, December 7 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. This year’s event will feature presentations from more than 50 domestic banks, thrifts and mutual holding companies in single sessions as well as panel discussions.

“This year’s program builds on our tradition of bringing together the highest-ranking officials from the banking community to discuss the most relevant topics of the day,” said Ben Plotkin, Chairman and CEO of Ryan Beck & Co. “Institutional investors are interested to learn more about the strategies banks are following and how they plan to successfully run their businesses in a challenging environment.”

In keeping with the orientation of Ryan Beck’s financial services research, this year’s conference largely focuses on small and mid-cap banks, and presenting companies will have market cap ranges of between $50-million to $20-billion.  Jackie Reeves, Managing
Director in research at Ryan Beck, indicates that this year’s theme will allow investors to hear, “how the banks are differentiating themselves. Understanding the banks’ strategic
vision is critical against a backdrop of substantial economic challenges as well as ongoing consolidation in the industry.”

Interspersed during the day’s presentations will be panels that focus on specific geographic themes such as “Bank Harvesting Growth in the Garden State” and “Vying for Business Customers in the Heartland.” Broader themes explored during the panels will include “Responding to the Dynamics of an Overconsolidated Market,”  “Leveraging Lead Share in a Slow Growth Market,” and “Deploying Capital in an Underserved Market.”
